C ocarina – VICINELLI, Cesare
This C ocarina was made in the birthplace of the ocarina, which is a small town called Budrio in Italy. Its maker is known as the ocarina’s Stradivarius – Cesare VICINELLI (1841-1920). He made ocarinas from around 1878 until his death in 1920. His ocarinas were famous for wonderful intonation, pure sound quality and elegant design. On his death, his only apprentice Guido CHIESA (1884-1965) continued on the business.
The ocarina is made of terracotta and is very light. It is in excellent condition, has a really super sound and plays easily. It is in C.
