Description
Mahogany music stand, Victorian
A late nineteenth century, Victorian music stand made in mahogany. It dates from the Victorian period (1837-1901) and was made in England.
The music stand features a metal pole with a lyre shape stand. The column is turned and fluted and attached to a tripod base. It has beautifully carved cabriole legs with an acanthus leaf design.
Its width is 41 cm and the height ranges from 130 cm maximum to 97 cm minimum.
This music stand was originally a duet music stand and it came to the shop in an extremely sorry state. Specialised restorers decided to completely restore it and transform it into a music stand for one.
