The title says it all, really. This book explores the art of playing the transverse flute in France from the middle of the 19th century, beginning with the person who is usually recognised as the founder of this school – Paul TAFFANEL (1844-1908)

It contains 144 pages packed full of everything you need to know about the French Flute School. It was translated and edited by Edward Blakeman. The revised edition was published by Tony Bingham in 1986. This paperback book is now out of print.
