This is the catalogue for an exhibition at the New York Public Library for the Performing Arts, November 1994 – February 1995.

Georges Barrère (1876-1944) is known for founding the New York Flute Club in 1920 and is a prominent figure in the history of American flute playing. In 1994, to honour the fiftieth anniversary of Barrère’s death and its own seventy-fifth anniversary, the Club hosted this exhibition at the New York Public Library, where the Club’s archives are located.

It was written by curator and Club archivist Nancy Toff and published in 1994.
