Description
Ocarina Meissen porcelain
This porcelain ocarina was made in Meissen in Germany, probably around 1900-1910 perhaps by Max Freyer & Co. It is a really lovely, white and cobalt blue piece. It features the famous Zwiebelmuster [Blue Onion] pattern, which is hand painted on the instrument. The ocarina still has the two drying rack marks on the reverse, which is quite normal in the production process. It has 10 holes and plays in C, a=440 Hz and is in superb, vintage condition with no cracks or flaws.
