This tutor was written by the German flutist Emil PRILL (1867-1940). It was published by the publisher Musikverlag Wilhelm Zimmermann in Frankfurt, Germany in July 1927. It contains lots of playing techniques including tonguing, as well as advice on breathing plus how to hold the flute. There are also exercises and fingering charts.

It is even published in German and English so no excuse not to read it really! It is nearly 100 years old with some notes in pencil by its previous owner (secrets on how to play!) and in very good condition. It would make a nice gift or an addition to a bookshelf.
