Fingering Chart for the Cylindrical flute 1873 – LOUIS LOT
Fingering Chart for the Cylindrical flute – LOUIS LOT – 1873 – Tablature du Doigté de la Flûte Cylindrique – Chez Louis LOT–1873
This LOUIS LOT (1807-1896) fingering chart for the cylindrical flute was completely new to us. We found it for you all! It was published in 1873 by Imprimerie Michelet in Paris and contains a total of twelve pages (2 blank) and had a price of six Francs.
The first two pages confirm the title and that the Louis Lot company is patented for cylindrical bore flutes and supplier to the Conservatoire and the National Academy of Music. The address is listed as 36, rue Montmartre.

Chromatic fingering
The following three pages centre on chromatic fingering. A drawing of a C-foot flute is shown. The positioning for the left and right hands is displayed from C to C, over three octaves.

Trills
Then we have four pages of trills.

Price list 1874
Finally, the last page features the price list for 1874.

We have special permission from the Bibliothèque nationale de France (BnF or BNF) to publish this fingering chart on our website and thank everyone there for their kind help.
