B-flat trumpet – AD. EGGER
This B-flat trumpet was made by AD. EGGER workshop in Basel, Switzerland. The company was founded by Adolf EGGER (1911-1972). He learnt his trade working for the master Karl William BELLON (1874-1933) before going it alone at Wallstrasse 4, Basel. The company still exists today.
We can date this trumpet to around 1940. It is in really great shape. The valves and slides are easily moveable. It was very much taken care of by its previous owner. A delightful Swiss trumpet constructed with typical Swiss quality and craftsmanship.
