Description
Multiflûte – Atlas–Ullmann
This is a rare ATLAS Multiflûte made by the Parisian company ULLMANN. The package contains a flute and three mouthpieces. We have three flutes in one: straight, side-blown and flageolet! These were marketed in the 1920s by Charles and Joseph Ullmann – see the ads from 1921 in the photos. The Ullmanns established a factory at Mirecourt in 1881 with a wholesale warehouse in Paris from 1908-1928. This particular instrument is made of nickel silver with nickel plating.
Caseless and looking a bit lost, it was decided to repurpose a French jewellery case to fit this unusual and interesting instrument.
Et voilà…now it would make a perfect musical gift, don’t you think?
