Description

Ever wondered what Caspar Fürstenau or Kaspar Kummer actually looked like? Now is your chance!

In 1906, the Berlin-based industrialist and arts supporter Adolph GOLDBERG (1852-1925) published a multitude of illustrations featuring figures related to the flute that he compiled from various sources. He had them printed on plates and distributed them under the title “Portrait Collection of Outstanding Flute Virtuosos, Dilettantes and Composers”.

This is the reprint in a modified form; all put together by Karl VENTZKE (1933-2005) and published in German as a paperback in 1987 by Moeck.

The book contains 124 pages jammed full of photos and details of everyone’s favourite flutists. It is in used but great condition.
