Used book – KLOSÉ’s Complete Clarinet Method (Grisez Revision, Alphonse Leduc, Plate A.L. 8984)
Own a piece of woodwind history! This is a genuine edition of the Hyacinthe KLOSÉ (1808–1880) legendary “Méthode Complète de Clarinette”– the absolute Bible for clarinettists.
While modern paperbacks are everywhere, this turn-of-the-century hardcover is a rare collector’s find. The method or tutor was first published in French around 1843. Léon GRISEZ (1867–1927) was a prominent French clarinettist who updated Klosé’s foundational method for Alphonse Leduc, spanning roughly 192 pages of instructional text, exercises and illustrations.
The book features vibrant, antique marbled endpapers. The binding is secure. The pages show an authentic patina with typical age-related spotting called foxing. The musical notation and instructional text remain perfectly legible and ready to be played. Please see photos for details.
