Description

Up for sale is a copy of My Complete Story of the Flute: The Instrument, the Performer, the Music. Written by the legendary flutist Leonardo DE LORENZO (1875-1962) and first published in 1951, this book is widely considered an absolute “bible” for flute players, music historians and collectors alike. It details the history of the flute, its notable performers and its repertoire.

Of course, you can track down digital copies online for absolutely nothing nowadays. But nothing quite beats the feeling of holding the real thing in your hands. Turning the actual pages while diving into De Lorenzo’s lifetime of brilliant stories, musical anecdotes and flute history is a completely different experience.

It’s a brilliant piece of musical heritage with a total of 660 pages.

This 1992 edition, published by Texas Tech University press, is in used but good condition, with just some page-edge yellowing and corner wear – see photos.
