Description
Percy panel replica
This decorative Percy wall panel was made by Oakleaf Reproduction Limited in Bradford, England. This panel really looks and feels like real wood, but it’s not, it’s replica wood (plastic) and so weighs just 800 g.
It is a life-size replica of one of the Tudor Percy panels located in the York Castle Museum Collection in Yorkshire, England. There is a series of six oak panels that we originally made around 1530. They were located in The Percy Inn, a house in Walmgate, which was once owned by the Percy family. You can read all about the panels and Henry Percy, who was eventually murdered right here.
On this panel, we can see a nice gentleman playing a cornet. Above are the four Percy badges: the crescent moon, the crowned key, the bugle-horn and the manacles.
A wonderful eyecatcher for anyone’s home!
