Description

This tutor or “Code of Instructions” was first published around 1860 by John CLINTON (1810–1864). He was both an English flutist and flute maker. In the 1840s, he was one of the first supporters of the conical Boehm flute; he however remained disappointed with it. Then when his rivals Rudall & Rose obtained the right to manufacture Boehm’s 1847 model, he decided to construct a few of his own models which he called “Equisonant”.
