Description
Horn in C – SEIDL, Josef
This horn in C was made in the former Graslitz in Böhmen (Bohemia), now Kraslice in the Czech Republic.
Not much information is available about the craftsman Josef SEIDL, and very few of his instruments are still around. However, we do know that he established his business in Graslitz in 1856, succeeding the maker Anton HÖFER.
The instrument is in great shape and has been well-maintained. We believe it dates back to approximately 1880. It has a charming nickel-plated bell garland, but sadly, it doesn’t come with a mouthpiece. All slides and the three rotary valves are operational.
A special and rare instrument that you won’t come across often!
