Vintage piccolo – Jack Leff
This grenadilla piccolo was entirely handmade by the legendary Jacques LEFÈVRE (1930-2020). Jacques Lefèvre apprenticed under his father, Martial Lefèvre (1883-1957) and worked for SML for some time before leaving in the 1960s to set his own business with the brand “Jack Leff”. His instruments are quite rare since he only made around 450 Jack Leff flutes in his lifetime.
This vintage piccolo is well-maintained, showcasing silver-plated keywork and elegantly designed rings. It’s still functional with the original pads, though it clearly needs some work to be played professionally once more. With a pitch of a=442 Hz, its tone is very refined. It is supplied in a case. It’s a superb choice for anyone looking for a unique handmade piccolo infused with French charm.
