Book slide – Sorrento ware –19th century
This fabulous Sorrento ware book slide is made of luscious olivewood. When closed it measures 360 mm x 125 mm and is 140 mm high. It extends to 590 mm. Dated from the mid-19th century, this metamorphic item is exquisitely decorated with three marquetry panels. The inlaid panels feature musicians and men with a bottle. The book slide is in wonderful condition with no losses to the marquetry.
